Awards & Prizes

 "The Ken Brodlie Prize"

Worth £50 and a bottle of malt whisky, will be awarded to the author(s) of the best paper on the basis of both the written paper and its presentation.

In 2009 the Ken Brodlie Prize is awarded to "Simulation of X-ray attenuation on the GPU", Franck Vidal, Manuel Garnier, Nicolas Freud, Jean Michel Letang, Nigel John. (Below, Franck Vidal receiving the Best Paper award.)

"The Rob Fletcher Prize"

The Rob Fletcher Prize will be awarded to the best student application paper on the basis of both the written paper and its presentation.

In 2009 the Rob Fletcher Prize is awarded to: "Uncertain Flow Visualization using LIC". Rodolfo S. Allendes Osorio, Ken Brodlie. (Below, Rodolfo receiving the prize of the NVidia graphics card).

"The Terry Hewitt Prize"

The Terry Hewitt Prize will again be awarded to the best technical research student paper on the basis of both the written paper and its presentation.

In 2009 the Terry Hewitt Prize is awarded to: "Real-time rendering of deformable translucent objects".  Nadir Benmounah, Vincent Jolivet, Djamchid Ghazanfarpour.
